What is drugs?
Knowledge of what drugs are very important, given the large number of young people who were destroyed due to the use of drugs, from teenagers to parents, and most victims of drugs themselves are teenagers.DRUGS stands for narcotics, psychotropic substances and other addictive ingredients.
DRUGS are drugs, ingredients, or harmful substances but are not classified as food if they are drunk, smoked, inhaled, swallowed or injected.
DRUGS is the term law enforcement and has been socialized to the public. Drugs are called dangerous ingredients because they are not safe for use by humans.
DRUGS that are in the preparation and distribution are regulated by law. Anyone who uses, circulates or produces illegally outside the legal provisions may be penalized by imprisonment and sanction in the form of a fine or even death sentence.
DRUGS (Narcotics, Psychotropic or other active ingredients) are other terms used in medical and health sciences.
In medical science, drugs are classified as body poisons if used improperly.
Understanding:
A. Narcotics
Narcotics are substances or drugs derived from plants or non-plants, both synthetic and semisynthetic which can cause a decrease or change in consciousness or eliminate and reduce pain.
there are three types of narcotics and are divided into three groups:
1) Narcotics Group L: very high potential to cause dependence. Not good for therapy.
examples that belong to group l narcotics: heroin, cocaine, and marijuana.
2) Class II narcotics: high potential causing dependence. but can be used for therapy according to the doctor's recommendation.
examples included in narcotics class II: Morphine and Petidine
3) Class lll Narcotics: potentially mild but still cause dependence and many are used in therapy, but still have to prioritize doctor's recommendations.
Examples of narcotics included in class lll: Codeine.
B. Psychotropicpsychotropic substances are substances or drugs, both natural and non-narcotic synthetic, which have a selective effect on the central nervous system and cause typical changes in mental activity and behavioral habits, and psychotropic itself is divided into four groups including:
1) Psychotropic Group L: very strong causes dependence and is not used in therapy,
Examples include Psychotropic Group I: MDMA, LSD and STP.
2) Psychotropic Group II: strong causes dependence and very limited use for therapy.
Examples of psychotropics included in class II: Amphetamine, methamphetamine, fensicidine, and ritalin.
3) Psychotropic Group lll: only potentially medium for dependence and rather often used in therapy.
Cotoh which belongs to the group lll psychotropic: Pentobarbital, and Flunitrazepam.
4) Psychotropic Group IV: Mild potential causes dependence and is often used for therapy.
Examples include Psychotropic Group IV: Diazepam, Klobajam, Fenobarbital, Barbital, Klorazepam, Klordiazepoxide, and Nitrazepam.
C. Addictive MaterialsAddictive ingredients are substances / other substances not narcotics and psychotropic substances that affect the work of the brain.
The types of substances or ingredients included in Addictive Materials are:
1) Alcohol.
This ingredient is often found in various types of liquor
2) Inhalation / Solvency
Inhalation or solvents are volatile substances or gases that are often found in various industrial / industrial purposes.
3) Nicotine
This nicotine is often found in tobacco ingredients.
There are also other addictive ingredients according to the World Health Organization (WHO), which affect the human body as follows:
Examples are Opioda: Opium, Morphine, Heroin, and Petidine.
